The safety and security of your children is very important to the
staff at Walker School. We take very seriously our responsibility in
providing a safe and secure learning environment for our students. We
ask that you help us by following these simple guidelines:
- Parents should send a note to school each time the child must leave early;
- Parents must pick up the child at the school office.
Students will not be sent out to a waiting car and students cannot walk
home during the school day. This is for your child's safety.
- If your child will be going home at the end of the day
in a way aside from their regular routine, please notify the teacher in
writing.
- Parents/Guardians must notify us with proper legal
documentation of any custodial right restrictions or limitations
involving others and their child.
Visitors to our school are very important to us.
Accordingly, parents are encouraged to visit our school but we ask you
to make arrangements to do so in advance with your child's teacher.
- ALL VISITORS to school must enter through the front
doors and sign into the office. This process is necessary to minimize
interruptions to the learning taking place in classrooms. If everyone
follows this simple step, we can ensure a safe, interruption free
learning environment for our students.
